The Hardware
The Worklouder Knob has been on my desk for over a year and it's still one of my favorite purchases. The build quality is immediately apparent the moment you pick it up — solid aluminum, no flex, nothing cheap about it. This is a peripheral built to last, not to be replaced in a year when something shinier comes along.
The Knob
The knob itself is the standout feature. I have it mapped to volume by default but swap it constantly depending on what I'm working on — scrubbing through video timelines, scrolling through long documents, adjusting brush size in Figma. Once you have a dedicated input knob you wonder how you worked without one. It's one of those additions to a setup that sounds like a luxury until you use it daily.
The Switches
The hot-swap sockets mean I've gone through three different switch types trying to find my preferred feel. Currently running Boba U4s for the quiet tactile bump — office-friendly without feeling mushy. The ability to tune the typing experience without soldering is something every serious keyboard should offer at this point.
The Verdict
If you're building out a clean desk setup this is one of those purchases that punches above its price point. It won't make you more productive on its own — but it makes the time at your desk feel more considered, which counts for something.
